With just 33 days of spring left, I can hardly wait for summer to roll in.

Carlton is my paradise, a neighbourhood bursting with life. Those beautiful Victorian homes are perfect for sniffing out new scents, and the busy streets are full of friendly faces and playful pups.

The parks are my favourite spots - endless space to run, roll in the grass, and chase after sticks. And those café smells? They make my tail wag like crazy.

Did you see Adam Grant's post about social media negativity? He shared research released in mid-2024 that confirms what many social media managers have long suspected: 'online discussions are dominated by a surpringinly small, extremely vocal, and non-representative minority.'

The study integrates insights from political science, psychology, and cognitive science, revealing how technology creates a 'funhouse mirror' effect on social norms.

Researcher Jay Van Bavel, PhD notes, "Our new paper explains why social media seems so weird: the people with the most extreme beliefs talk a lot. This can lead to a false belief about what average people really believe."

We've said this before but it bears repeating: we can shift the narrative. Take a moment to share something positive or acknowledge the nuance in your views on social media. Your voice can help foster a more balanced and authentic online environment, countering the skewed perceptions that often dominate.

Personally, skateboards freak me out. It's something about the wheels and the sound they make. They're all-around Carlton practicing their wallrides and heelflips and no matter how much I try to be cool all I want to do is to chase them down.

But I guess practice pays off... A big woof to Keagan Palmer and Arisa Trew for bringing it home and winning Olympic gold in the men's and women's park skateboard. Luckily, there's a lot less scary events, one of my favs is Equestrian where the four-legged partners get their moment to shine.

Congratulations to all, so many amazing Olympians doing their thing and what an awesome medal haul. 🥇🥈🥉

Cool fact... per capita we rule the world when it comes to winning Olympics medals! Not bad for an island nation.
