This morning, the Pacific Group of Companies held a ‘Turning of Soil’ ceremony to mark the beginning of construction on the redevelopment of Werribee Plaza to Pacific Werribee.
Wyndham City Mayor Bob Fairclough was in attendance with Pacific Group of Companies director Sam Alter, ‘on site’ at Werribee Plaza. Also in attendance were Probuild, the builders appointed for the redevelopment, along with members of the community and store owners who have operated in the Plaza since opening in 1985.
The redevelopment will create over 400 jobs during the construction phase and up to 1,500 retail jobs once completed, and will expand the Centre’s size by over 35,000 square metres. It is expected to be completed by late 2016.
