This weekend ‘The Olympic Dream’ celebrates its 20th anniversary as the event takes off once again.
For the last two decades, The Olympic Dream has brought together people from all walks of life who enjoy being active and supportive of Australian Olympians.
This year, funds raised from the event will go towards the 2012 Australian Olympic Team as they prepare to represent Australia in London.
Held at Birrarung Marr, alongside the Yarra River, The Olympic Dream offers participants the chance to walk or run five or ten kilometres with scenic cityscape views of marvellous Melbourne. There is also a 3km run for school students.
Pesel & Carr’s Cairin Conway is participating in the 10 kilometre run and, if successful in her endeavour, she will receive Olympic Dream medal honouring Olympic legend, the late Kerryn McCann.
