Still Loved: Remembering Tracy Connelly

Next week will mark one year since Tracy Connelly was brutally murdered in St Kilda, and since her death 67 other women have lost their lives to violence in Australia.

On Monday night, St Kilda Gatehouse will remember Tracy in a special event to show she is ‘Still Loved’, while also commemorating the lives of all victims of domestic violence.

Special guests will include St Kilda Gatehouse CEO Sally Tonkin, journalists Wendy Squires and Jane Gilmore and Domestic Violence Victoria CEO Fiona McCormack. Melbourne band The Broken Sweethearts will perform.

The event will take place on Monday 21st July at St Kilda Gatehouse – 36 & 29 Greeves St, St Kilda – from 6-8pm. Everyone is welcome to join and are encouraged to bring their own candle and flower. Supper will be provided, but please wear warm clothes to prepare you for the cold Melbourne weather.

Monday night will be a time of reflection and remembering, to honour those who have fallen victim to violence and to take a stand for women’s safety in Victoria.

One year on, and Still Loved.
