Pesel & Carr picks up international award for successful education campaign

Pesel & Carr’s expertise in the education arena has once again been recognised internationally with an International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) Silver Quill award.

Our Managing Director, Barbara Pesel, was delighted to receive the Award at last night’s celebratory Gala in Singapore and spoke of her excitement in attending the inaugural Asia-Pacific Regional Conference.

The IABC presented Pesel & Carr with the Award in the Marketing, Advertising and Brand Communication category, in recognition of our work with Caroline Chisholm Catholic College in Braybrook.

Our campaign was entitled ‘To sing from the same hymn book: Creating a new voice for Caroline Chisholm Catholic College’ which focused on developing a new brand and messaging that would attract and safeguard student enrolments.

Formed through the merger of three schools, the College faced challenges including inconsistent messaging, diverse stakeholders and an almost total absence of public awareness of its achievements.

Our entry detailed the campaign’s success in identifying the College’s “DNA”, creating one organisational voice and building awareness in the community – ultimately contributing to the College’s long-term vision of becoming the leading choice for students in its catchment area.

This latest Award will take pride of place in our boardroom alongside our previously awarded IABC Gold Quill trophies, most recently received in April this year, and multiple other awards from the likes of the Public Relations Institute of Australia and PR Daily.

The IABC is a global network of communication professionals committed to improving organisational effectiveness through strategic communication.
