Pesel & Carr is thrilled to have been recognised at the International Public Relations Association’s Golden World Awards for our campaign “You Are Not Alone”: Action Against Youth Suicide.
Pesel & Carr was acknowledged in the Social Media – Agency category for the campaign, which we developed and implemented for the Australian Suicide Prevention Foundation (ASPF).
Suicide has consistently been the highest cause of death amongst 15-25-year-olds; ASPF identified a need to reach as many young people as possible.
P&C was tasked with creating a campaign using video to direct young people to ASPF’s youth-focused site, raise awareness of support services and create positive dialogue online.
‘You are not alone’ successfully reached a combined 3.8 million throughout the three-month competition period. In addition, media coverage targeting secondary audiences was achieved across print, broadcast and online news outlets with a total reach of more than 15 million.
It is the third award the campaign has picked up this year, after winning two Gold Quill Awards in April.
“We’re overjoyed to see such an important campaign recognised for a third time this year,” said Barbara Pesel, Managing Director at Pesel & Carr.
“Projects like ‘You are not alone’ where you can have a profoundly positive impact on society don’t come around that often, we are proud to have delivered such strong outcomes for the Australian Suicide Prevention Foundation.”
IPRA’s Golden World Awards for Excellence in Public Relations, established in 1990, celebrates each year the outstanding achievements of global communication professionals.
