William Angliss Institute opened its doors on Sunday for an Open Day like no other, welcoming a great turn out of visitors and potential students to explore the campus and take part in a packed calendar of events and activities.
From spa tasters, to butchery competitions, to Trial A Trade sessions – there was something for everyone.
Celebrity chefs Ian Curley and Anna Polyviou took to the stage in special live demonstrations, where they showed off their culinary skills, shared their experience and answered questions from eager aspiring chefs.
Ian’s pasta marinara had the audience’s mouths watering, while Anna brought her trademark style and personal DJ to ‘pepper’ her presentation with fun and excitement. Anna’s session was highly anticipated, with a queue out the door and down the corridor! Attendees even got the chance to construct their own gorgeous dessert and trial a Polyviou specialty.
Delicious and beautiful edible creations by Angliss students were on display all day, with many for sale so visitors could sample the work for themselves.
