In today’s The Australian (Friday 20 March 2015), Barry Fitzgerald writes about the Horn Island gold project in the Torres Strait, suggesting that it is an “old gold mine which has been crying out for some modern-day exploration.”
The article reports that Alice Queen Holding owns an 84.5% stake in the project, a company which Callabonna Resources is looking to acquire.
On the potential of the Horn Island gold project, Fitzgerald writes: “It is way too early to be making a call on whether the mine will get back into production. But with the drilling program to come after the deal with Callabonna, it could be one to watch.”
