The team at Pesel & Carr has been watching the Olympics with fervour and would like to congratulate our world class Laser sailor Tom Slingsby for his gold medal – the first individual gold for Australia in London.

Slingsby was also the gold medal winner at last year’s Sail Melbourne, the first leg of the ISAF Sailing World Cup, an international regatta which saw some of the best sailors from all over the world flock to Sandringham Yacht Club to compete in the lead up to the Olympics.

49er class team Nathan Outteridge and Iain Jensen from Lake Maquarie in NSW have also secured their gold in London, with the medal race scheduled to run today only a formality for the pair.

Another big well done to cyclist Anna Meares and hurdler Sally Pearson for their recent gold wins.

This year’s Sail Melbourne will be running from December 2 – 8 at Sandringham Yacht Club, and is sure to be a world class event as we welcome home our Olympians to compete on the familiar shores of Port Phillip Bay.
