Guess how many balls were used in the Australian Open

Louis is lying on a couch, Louis is a black standard poodle, Louis is dreaming of yellow tennis balls.

With the Australian Open in full swing, I couldn’t be more thrilled to share my love for the most important element of this impressive sporting event – the balls. They bring so much joy to the lives of dogs.

Here are three paw-some tennis ball facts:

  1. Dogs can actually see the vibrant color of tennis balls, which makes them the top choice for pups of all breeds.
  2. Last year, a whopping 71,352 tennis balls were used throughout the entire Australian Open
  3. Tennis balls are fuzzy because the fuzz creates friction between the ball and the air which creates a drag force, causing it to land quickly. The fuzz limits the bounce height and maintains a controlled rebound.

I know what I’ll be dreaming about later…
