Globally, schools are seeing increasing levels of anxiety amongst their students. ClassDojo, a classroom communication app used in over 50% of Australian primary schools, drew attention to the issue.
The global event, ‘A Mindful Moment’, passed through around 180 countries and saw students dedicate 15 minutes to mindfulness. The meditation session was coupled with the release of new mindfulness lessons each day the following week to prolong the impact of the initiative.
We implemented a media relations program to generate coverage for the event. To truly do justice to the program, we provided a collaborative, global approach, working across multiple time zones with communications agencies in the US and UK.
We created multiple press releases with localised angles, a survey one-pager with key take homes and a broadcast briefing, as well as a video news release filmed the morning of the first mindfulness lesson.
