The digital transformation of an organisation is not just about new technology, it is an opportunity to re-think how it does business.
To support a $30-million overhaul of the network, data centre security and services, we developed a new theme for Cenitex, the Victorian Government’s IT shared services provider. “Doing Business Differently” encompassed the changes Cenitex were implementing, while alluding to a culture of innovation.
We delivered key messaging and creative treatment to announce the operational realignment of over 450 staff around six new service lines. The reorganisation gave greater P&L accountability to service line managers and greater visibility and transparency to customers for service delivery.
During the three-month transition to the new structure, we created and maintained an internal SharePoint site to keep people informed of announcements, timelines, milestones, training, workshops and information sessions. We shot a series of videos with executive and project leaders to demonstrate how their teams will be doing business differently under the new structure.
Regular internal surveys showed a high awareness of:
- The rationale of change
- Q&As, tools and training available to individuals and teams to help manage change impacts of change on individuals and their teams.
Surveys also showed a growing belief in the likelihood the reorganisation would achieve its goals.
